PLAYOFF INFO AND FORMAT - TRIPLES/QUADS TOURNAMENTS
The 1st and 2nd Place teams in ALL DIVISIONS advance to the CHAMPIONSHIP PLAYOFFS, while the 3rd and 4th Place teams advance to the CONSOLATION PLAYOFFS. 5th Place teams (in divisions with all 5 team pools) will not advance.
After your pool is completed, find the location of your playoff match on Volleyball Life and please move to that court and be ready to play your match as soon as your opponent arrives. Note that there could be another playoff match on your court before you. Please verify that you are playing the correct team at the correct time. If the wrong two teams play, the team that was supposed to be on the court at that time will automatically advance and the other team will be eliminated. We don't have time to replay matches.
Playoffs - 1 game to 30 (no cap).
Time and Daylight permitting, semi-finals and finals in each Championship bracket may be switched to best of 3 matches. If so, the first two games would be to 21 (no cap) and the third to 15 (no cap).
After your match is completed, the winning team needs to report the result in Volleyball Life or to HQ.

MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION/FAQ
Subs
We don’t allow subbing within a game/set. You can start different lineups each game, but you can only replace a player during a game if there’s been an injury. If a player leaves due to injury, he/she is finished for that match.
Footwear
Players may not wear cleats or spikes of any kind. Players may play barefoot.
What is the weather policy? This is a Rain or Shine event.
Play will continue through inclement weather as much as possible - if it's necessary to stop play, it will be postponed in 30-minute increments until conditions are suitable to resume play. It's very important that all teams remain close to the event site so that games may resume in a timely manner once the weather has improved enough to resume play!
After the 2nd delay, the tournament will be moved to the following day for completion. This decision will come from the tournament director. This would be determined by safety, weather, and playing conditions.
Men’s and Women’s Triples - Open Divisions
If there's a weather issue, or any other issue outside of our control, that does not allow us to finish the Men’s and Women’s Open final on Saturday, the remainder of games will be played starting at 9am the next day (Sunday) if the conditions are determined safe. The tournament has the final say on start time and stopping play due to any conditions that would deem unsafe. Please keep that in mind when making travel arrangements. We'll do whatever we can to crown a champion each year at the Waupaca Boatride Volleyball Tournament.
Tournament Director
The tournament director has the authority to alter rules and make decisions not covered in the rules. If the tournament director does alter the rules, the tournament director will advise the participants of those changes prior to the start of the event if possible. The tournament director has absolute authority over players, game officials and spectators, on and off the court at a tournament, where the maintenance of order is concerned, and may impose disciplinary measures as needed. The tournament director has the authority to make any necessary decisions regarding entries and seeding. The tournament director may change the format of the tournament if, in his opinion, conditions warrant it. The tournament director has the authority to settle any and all disputes. The tournament director is the sole authority who determines if weather conditions warrant a suspension or cancellation of play. The tournament director is the final authority in determining if courts are safe and playable.
